After school, Jay waited for Lexa. He knew that if she and him hooked up then it would just be rebound but he could deal with it.

“Hey.” He heard a voice say. He smiled to himself, but when he turned around… it was Amy, Alex’s best friend.

“Hey.” He said, now without a smile. “What do you want, Amy?”

“Just wanted to make sure you weren’t cheating on my best friend with the new girl.” She said coldly.

“Hey Jay,” another voice said. Jay looked over Amy’s shoulder; it was Lexa. “You ready?”

“Excuse me! We were talking.” Amy exclaimed.

“Well?” Lexa asked again, ignoring Amy.

“Yeah.” Jay said and opened the car door for Lexa. Amy was about to say something but Jay stopped her and pulled her aside. “Alex broke up with me, okay? She met someone else.” He said this and then went around and got into the car.

“So where we off to?” Jay asked as they pulled out into the road.

“Just go. Go any where.” Lexa said.

“You wanna go to the movies?” Jay asked.

“Sure, just as long as it’s not a chick flick or a romantic. Something horror or actiony.” She replied.

“Okay.” Jay said. It was only ten minutes to the mall. The ten minutes was spent quiet, but once they got there it was different.

“I’ll be right back.” Lexa said.

It only took her a couple of minutes before she came back. When she did come back, she was in a different outfit. She had one black combat boots, jeans with holes in them, a shorter shirt, and a black jacket.

“Wow!” Jay said. “You look even hotter than before.”

“Damn right. Do you know the difference?” She asked. Jay shook his head. “You can’t try to go up my skirt.” She whispered and pulled back. With the slightest glance, she saw the girl that Jay was arguing with earlier in the parking lot. The girl gave her a dirty look. So Lexa pulled Jay closer to her.

“So that, uh, movie,” Jay said. He led her to the elevator. When they got there, no one was in it so they were alone.

“So, uh, was that your girlfriend?” Lexa asked suddenly.

“Who? Amy? No! No, she’s my girlfriend’s best friend, actually, my girlfriend just dumped me this morning cause she found someone else in California.” Jay sounded a little sad.

“Well, now you’ve found yourself a playmate.” Lexa said jokingly. She was standing in a corner. Jay walked over, blocking her. Then he leaned in to kiss her.

“What are you doing?” Lexa asked even she wanted him badly to kiss her.

“I’m getting over Alex.” He said and kissed her. She placed a hand on either side of his soft face. He moved his hands up and touched her’s, then pushed her armed against the wall of the elevator. There kiss lasted until the door to the elevator opened.

“We better stop.” Lexa said softly Her arms still pressed against the wall.

“Or we can continue this.” Jay suggested and led her out of the elevator.

“Where are we going?” Lexa asked as they went to the back of the floor.

“To a hott spot.” Jay replied. They continued to walk and then got to a hall. It looked private. There was an elevator there.

“Wow, when you said continue, I assumed in the movie.” Lexa said as she entered the elevator. Jay hit the top and bottom floors.

Once again, Lexa stood in the corner and Jay moved in on her. Their fingers entwined, as did their lips. Jay kissed her lips, down her neck and to her shoulder.

“Have I apologized for this morning yet?” Lexa asked between heavy breaths. Jay looked up at her.

“No.” He said with a smile.
